Find any setting by typing a word, and see who last changed a setting and what it was before.
Shop › Settings holds many settings across many tabs. The bar at the top of the page finds a setting in any tab, and Change history shows who changed what.
A list of the best matches drops down, each with the tab it lives in. Use the arrow keys and Enter, or select one. The page jumps to that setting and highlights it.
With more than eight matches the list says "Showing the best 8 of …". All matches are listed on the page below.
While a search is active, the page shows only the matching settings, grouped by tab, and each tab on the left shows its number of matches. A line under the box counts the matches and reminds you to press Save Settings.
Clear × brings back the normal tabs.
The search understands everyday words as well as the exact labels. If nothing matches, it says so and suggests another word, for example "charge" instead of "fee".
Search only looks at settings your account can see. A tab that is not shown for your shop is not searched.
The window lists the most recent settings changes, newest first. Each record shows who saved it, from which app and when. Details opens a table with Setting, Before and After, and the tab the setting belongs to. Secret values such as keys are shown only as changed.
The line under the title says how many days of history are kept. Open the full activity log at the bottom opens the Activity log filtered to settings.
Before any change is recorded, the window says "No settings changes recorded yet. Changes you save from now on appear here."
A setting that changed recently carries a small note beside its label: "Changed … · …", with how long ago and by whom. Hover over the note to see the exact time and the old and new value. Select it to open the history window at that change.
Only the owner can open Settings. A change made for your shop from the admin panel is recorded in the same history and is marked Admin panel.
