Let customers pay the rider by card, and tell riders which card machine they carry.
With card on delivery the rider carries a card machine. The platform does not talk to the machine: the payment happens on your own terminal and your own merchant account.
Go to Shop › Settings › Payment Gateways and add Card On Delivery to the Payment Gateways list. It is on for every new shop. If you do not see the tab, see Who manages your payments.
On the Delivery Settings tab, switch on Enable Payment Terminal and type your terminal numbers in Payment Terminals, separated by commas.
Select Save Settings.
On a store pickup order, Card On Delivery means the customer pays by card when they collect.
The cash on delivery controls also cover card on delivery while Apply them to card on delivery too is ticked under Customers › COD & risk. That box is ticked by default. See COD & risk.
