Before you start
The risk score is part of your plan's advanced COD tools, and the cash on delivery controls must be on.

Who can use this
Shop owner, Shop Manager
The risk score rates each customer from 0 to 100 using only their own orders at your shop. A higher score means more failed cash on delivery orders.
How the score is built

A prepaid parcel returned to origin

Orders from the last 12 months count. Orders at other shops never count.
Turn scoring on
Go to Customers › COD & risk. Under Risk score, tick Score each customer from their history at your shop.
Set the two thresholds
Ask for a code from score. The default is 30. From this score the customer must confirm with a code.
Turn cash on delivery off from score. The default is 60. From this score the customer can only pay online.
Both take 1 to 100. The second cannot be lower than the first: "The score that turns COD off must be at least the score that asks for a code."
Save
Select Save.
The score on an order
The order page has a COD risk panel:
At checkout: the badge decided when the order was placed, Low risk, Code required or COD off (high risk), with the score and the reasons. Confirmed with a code shows when the customer did.
Customer now: the customer's score today.
Outcome: how the order ended, Delivered, Returned to origin (RTO) or Cancelled after dispatch.
The orders list shows the same badge beside pay-on-delivery orders.
Correct an outcome
If an order was counted wrongly, choose the right outcome in the list beside it, or Not counted, and select Correct. You see "The order's outcome was corrected." Corrections are recorded in the activity log. Only the shop owner and Shop Managers see this control.
The score on a customer
Open a customer with the pencil on their card. The COD risk panel shows:
the badge and score, with how many orders were delivered, returned to origin and cancelled after dispatch;
the reasons behind the score;
recent outcomes, each with its own Correct control;
a form to block the customer: choose No cash on delivery or No orders at all, type a Reason (only your team sees it) and select Block this customer.
A blocked customer shows the block and its reason with a Remove button. See COD blocklist.
The corrections and the block form are for the shop owner and Shop Managers. A Shop Sales Manager sees the score and its reasons only.
The panel appears while COD & risk is in use (cash or card on delivery is a payment method and Use these controls is ticked), or when the customer already has COD records at your shop.
