Attach a customer or sell as walk-in

Find a customer by phone, add a new one, link an existing account with the customer's code, or leave the sale as walk-in.

Every sale starts as Walk-in customer. Attach a customer when you want the sale in their order history, a coupon limited to them, or payment from their wallet.

Sell as walk-in

Do nothing. A sale without a customer is booked on your shop's walk-in account. That account is not listed among your customers and has no wallet.

Find a customer

Type the phone number
Enter the number in Phone number and select Find. The till searches your shop's own customers only.
Check the name
A customer who is found appears at the top of the card as name and phone.
When the wallet is on for your shop, a wallet line follows. The owner and Shop Managers see the balance. Cashiers and Shop Sales Managers see Wallet: has money or Wallet: empty. See Customer wallet.

To go back to a walk-in sale, select Walk-in customer under the customer's name.

Add a new customer

When the number is not found, the till says "No customer with this phone number. Add them below." and shows two more fields.

Name: required.
E-mail (optional).
Select Add customer. The customer is created with the phone number you searched for, added to your customer list and attached to the sale.

Link an existing account with the customer's code

Customer accounts are shared across the platform. If the phone number already has an account that is not yet your customer, the till does not add it on your word.

After Add customer, the till says "This phone number already has an account. The customer received a code: type it to add them, or sell as walk-in."
The customer reads you the code they received on that phone.
Type it in Code from the customer and select Confirm code.

The account is then linked to your shop and attached to the sale. Nothing about the account is shown before the code is right.

Find a customer

Type the phone number
