The shipping, selling-by-measure, sales channel and translation columns of the product CSV.
These columns extend the main product CSV columns. Add them only if you need them. None is ever required. In the shipping, measure and sales channel columns, an empty cell leaves the saved value as it is. A value that is not allowed rejects the whole file at upload, with the row number in the message.
The page lists these under Optional shipping columns.
| Column | Allowed values | Example |
|---|---|---|
weight, length, width, height | Number of 0 or more, in your shop's units | 0.35 |
requires_shipping | 1/0 or yes/no | 1 |
hsn_code | Text | 2202.10 |
The page lists these under Optional selling by measure columns. They set the product's Sold loose by weight/measure switch, Step and Minimum in bulk; see Units, codes and selling by weight.
| Column | Allowed values | Example |
|---|---|---|
sold_by_measure | 1 for a product sold loose, 0 for packs. yes/no and true/false also work | 1 |
quantity_step | Number above 0, two decimals at most, in the product's unit | 0.25 |
min_quantity | As the step. At least the step, and a multiple of it | 0.5 |
A row with sold_by_measure set to 1 needs a weight, volume or length code in its unit cell, such as kg or ltr. The values on a product's row are copied to its variants.
Read only when sales channels are on for your shop; otherwise they are ignored.
| Column | Allowed values |
|---|---|
google_product_category | Google's numeric ID, or its full English path such as Apparel & Accessories > Shoes |
condition | new, refurbished or used |
mpn | Up to 70 characters |
age_group | newborn, infant, toddler, kids or adult |
gender | male, female or unisex |
exclude_from_google | 1/yes hides the product from Google, 0/no shows it again |
Each extra language of your shop has six columns: the name below followed by the language code.
| Column | Example for Arabic |
|---|---|
name_ | name_ar |
desc_ (the description; not description_) | desc_ar |
unit_label_ | unit_label_ar |
meta_title_, meta_description_, meta_keywords_ | meta_title_ar |
Your sample has these columns when languages are switched on for your shop; without that, translations are not saved. Include only the translation columns you want to change. When a row has text in one column of a language, that language's other columns in the file are saved too, empty cells included.
In an export, translation columns follow the main columns, then shipping, sales channel and measure columns, so the positions of the main columns never move. Shipping and measure columns are included when your shop uses them or when you tick them in Choose columns.
