Connect your shop to the Fatoora platform in four steps, first in simulation and then in production, and switch to Phase 2.
Onboarding gives your shop a certificate that signs its invoices. ZATCA calls these certificates CSIDs: step 2 gets the compliance CSID and step 4 the production CSID. You run the same four steps in each environment. The page advises: do the simulation environment first, then production.
The Onboarding for Phase 2 card appears once your seller details are complete. It shows the Environment you saved and a Status, starting at Not started.
Select Create key and CSR. This creates your shop's signing key, stored encrypted, and the certificate request ZATCA needs.
The status becomes Key and CSR ready — enter an OTP. The button then reads Create a new key and CSR, for starting over.
Sign in to the Fatoora portal for the same environment. Choose "Onboard new solution unit / device" and generate an OTP.
Enter it in 6-digit OTP within one hour and select Get compliance certificate. The OTP is used once and is not stored.
The status becomes Compliance certificate received — run the checks.
Select Run compliance checks. The button is available once step 2 is done. Your shop sends one sample of each document type to ZATCA to prove your invoices are valid.
A table lists each sample as Passed or Failed, with ZATCA's reason for a failure. When all pass, the status becomes Checks passed — request the production certificate.
Select Get production certificate. The button is available only after the checks pass.
The status becomes Active. The card now shows Certificate expires and Documents in the chain.
In Seller details, set Environment to Production. Leave Phase on Phase 1 and select Save.
Use an OTP from the production Fatoora portal. The simulation certificate stays as it is; each environment has its own.
When production shows Active, set Phase to Phase 2 — integration (signed, reported / cleared) and select Save.
From then on, each new document is signed and sent to ZATCA. See Simplified invoices and the QR code and Business (B2B) invoices.
