These rules price deliveries by your own drivers. Orders shipped by courier are priced by your shipping zone rates instead.
| Type | The customer pays |
|---|---|
| Fixed | 2. The Fixed Delivery Charge, whatever the distance |
| Dynamic | 3. A charge based on the distance between your shop's map pin and the address |
Example. Base charge 10 for the first 3 km, extra charge 2 per 1 km. An address 5.5 km away pays 10 + 2.5 × 2 = 15.
When the Distance Is Unknown covers Dynamic deliveries that cannot be measured, because the address or the shop has no map point.
| Option | The customer pays |
|---|---|
| Base delivery charge (default) | The base delivery charge |
| Fixed delivery charge | The fixed delivery charge |
| Free | Nothing |
The charge is worked out in this order.
| Rule | Effect |
|---|---|
| Self pickup | No delivery charge |
| A customer marked for free delivery | No delivery charge |
| Free delivery threshold reached | No delivery charge. Express orders still pay the express charge unless you waive it |
| A delivery zone with its own charge | With a Dynamic charge and delivery by places, the zone's charge replaces the distance charge |
| Express delivery | The Express Delivery Charge is added on top |
A shop with two or more active locations can give a location its own delivery pricing. Open the location under Catalogue › Locations & stock and fill in Delivery charge on the Delivery rules card. An empty field uses the shop's setting. Distance charges are then measured from that location.
For every field and its default, see Charge and free delivery settings.
