Which address fields customers fill in, how the map pin works, and when an address is refused.
The address form follows your delivery mode. The map follows your map settings.
| Delivery mode | Fields |
|---|---|
| By Radius or By Places | "Street / area", "Building, villa or apartment", "City", "Landmark (optional)" and the location pin |
| By Shipping Zones | "Country / region", "Street address", "Apartment, suite, etc. (optional)", "City", the state field and a postcode |
In shipping mode the form adapts to the country:
Signed-in customers pick from "Saved addresses" or choose "Use a new address". They can tick "Save this address to my account".
With a map provider set, customers can open a map from "Choose on map".
| Customer can | Notes |
|---|---|
| Drag the pin or tap the map | Then select "Use this location" |
| Select "Use my location" | The browser asks for permission first |
| Search an address or place | When Address Search is on |
When Fill Address From Pin is on, the address fields are filled from the pin: "We filled in the address from the pin — check it and add your building or flat."
With Map Provider set to Off (location popup), there is no map. Customers can still share their location or type coordinates.
A pin is required in two cases:
An order without a required pin is refused with "Please select your location on the map."
Otherwise an order without a pin is accepted and priced with your delivery charge for orders without a location.
| Setting | Result |
|---|---|
| Only accept orders inside my delivery area on | A delivery address outside your radius, or outside every delivery zone, is refused at checkout |
| The same switch off | Any address can order, with your usual charge |
| By Shipping Zones | Only addresses your shipping zones cover can order |
With By Places, if your delivery zones cannot match any address, for example because no zone is active, the switch is ignored and every address can order. Your panel warns you about this on the delivery zones page.
A refused customer may be offered the delivery waitlist. See Location prompt, stores and waitlist.
