List every shift with its opening float, expected cash, counted cash and difference, and open its X-report or Z-report.
The Shifts tab lists shifts, newest first. Use it to check a drawer difference, or to reprint a report.
| Role | Shifts listed |
|---|---|
| Shop owner | Every shift of the shop |
| Shop Manager | Every shift at the locations they are assigned to |
| Shop Sales Manager, Cashier | Only the shifts they opened themselves |
Select Filter to apply. With no shifts to show, the page says No shifts yet.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| # | The shift number, as shown on the till and on the reports |
| Register | The register's name |
| Opened | Date and time, and who opened it |
| Closed | Date and time, and who closed it. A shift that is still running shows an Open badge |
| Opening float | The cash declared when the shift opened |
| Expected cash | What the drawer should have held at close |
| Counted cash | What was counted at close |
| Difference | Counted minus expected. Red when it is not zero |
Expected cash, Counted cash and Difference show a dash while the shift is open. They are filled in when it closes.
The Shifts tab and its reports stay readable when the POS register add-on is not in your plan. The Point of sale menu entry then opens this tab instead of the till, for as long as your shop has recorded shifts.
An open shift can still be closed in that case: while any shift of your shop is open, the Till tab still opens, so you can choose the register, select Use this register and close the shift. See Troubleshooting.
