Hide, delete or restore a product

Take a product out of your store for a while or for good, and bring a deleted product back.

Where to find itCatalogueProducts

Who can use this

Shop owner, Shop Product Manager

Hiding keeps the product and everything about it, but customers no longer see it. Deleting removes it from the normal list; you can still restore it.

Hide a product

Disable it
1. On the product card, select disable. Confirm the question "Customers won't see it until you enable it again."
Find it again
The product leaves the default Active view. Select the Disabled chip to see it, with a Disabled badge.
Show it again
Select enable on its card.

You can do the same from inside the product with the Active switch in the Status card.

Delete it
1. On the product card, select Delete, then Delete again in the confirmation. The list confirms with Product Deleted.

Show deleted products
Select the Deleted chip above the list. Deleted products carry a Deleted badge.
Tick and restore
Tick the products, choose Restore in the Bulk Actions box and select Apply.

Disable, Enable, Delete and Restore are all bulk actions.
To keep only today's stock list on sale, see Enable products in Barcode clean-up tools. That tool disables every product that is not in your file.
To make one variant unavailable, switch off Active on the variant: see Variants.

Hiding a category hides it from customers in one step: see Hide, merge or delete categories.
