Download your products as a CSV file - everything for a backup, or only the columns you need.
An export is made in the background and then stays in a list on the same page, so you can download it again later.
On Catalogue › Products, select Actions › Export.
Export everything: all columns. Best for a backup or a full re-import.
Choose columns: only the columns you need, for example barcode and price for a price update. Tick the columns, or use Select all and Clear, then select Start export. The ID column is always included, so a re-import can match each row to its product.
The export runs in the background. Large catalogues take longer; you can leave the page.
The picker groups the columns: Identity, Details, Price & offer, Stock, Unit & display, Shipping, Sales channels and Selling by measure. They are the columns described in Product CSV columns, so an export can be edited and imported straight back.
| Columns | When you get them |
|---|---|
| Search engine and translation columns | Only in Export everything; the picker does not list them |
| Shipping, Selling by measure | Unticked, and left out of Export everything, unless your shop uses them. Tick them to include them |
| Sales channels | Offered when your shop uses sales channels |
| Cost price | Offered to people who may see costs, once a cost price is saved |
enable_stock, stock_quantity, stock_alert_quantity | Not in any file while stock tracking is off |
stock_quantity@CODE | One per location, in shops with more than one location |
The image column holds each picture's full link.
On Catalogue › Categories, open a category's three-dot menu and select Export its products (CSV). The same page opens for that category only.
Change prices, stock or names in the file and upload it with CSV import or the update tool. The ID column matches each row to its product.
An export that contains cost prices can be downloaded only by people who may see costs. Others see: "This file contains cost prices. Only people who may see costs can download it." The owner sets who that is in Stock control settings.
How long exports are kept is explained in Import and export history.
