What the Settings page holds, who can open it, and how it differs from the Features page.
Shop › Settings is the one page that holds your shop's detailed settings. The page title reads SETTINGS. Settings are grouped into tabs, listed down the left side.
Only the shop owner. Staff accounts, including the Shop Manager, have no Settings entry and cannot open the page.
Platform staff can open the same page for your shop from their own panel. They see extra tabs, which is why support can change things you cannot. See All settings tabs.
You see a tab only when it applies to your shop. For example, Picker Settings appears once the picker app is enabled, and Returns & Exchanges once returns are on. All settings tabs lists every tab and when it appears.
A field you may not edit is greyed out and carries the badge Managed by platform.
On the tabs an owner sees, this happens when the field belongs to a feature your plan does not include, on shops where plan limits are applied. The field reads as off or empty. It can affect Enable Wallet, Enable Referral, Meta Pixel Id in Web Application Settings, Enabled under ERPNext in Integrations, and Item webhook and User webhook in Webhooks/Pushers. See Locked features and limits.
A locked field is never sent when you save, so its stored value stays as it is.
Settings the platform manages for every shop are not shown greyed out. They sit on tabs only platform staff see. On Shop › Features, such a feature reads "Contact support to change this".
| Shop › Settings | Shop › Features | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is for | Every detail of how a feature behaves | Switching whole features on or off |
| How you save | One Save Settings button for the page | Each card saves at once with Turn on or Turn off |
| Who can read it | Owner | Owner, and Shop Manager (read only) |
| When you cannot switch | Managed by platform badge | "Contact support to change this", a plan badge or Add-on |
Several switches exist in both places and are the same setting. Enable Stock in General Settings is the Stock tracking card on the Features page. Some features have a card but no field on the Settings page you see, such as Product variants. See Turn features on.
