Prepare a data export or delete an account when a customer asks you directly, including deleting at once.
Customers normally make these requests themselves on your website. When one asks you by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail instead, start the request for them under A customer asked you directly.
Go to Customers › Privacy requests.
The request appears in the list, marked "by the shop". See Privacy requests for statuses, downloads and cancelling.
Only the shop owner can delete without the waiting period. Shop Managers can start a deletion, but it waits the normal number of days.
Either tick the "delete now" option when you start the request, or select Delete now on a scheduled deletion in the list. On the list you tick I checked this request comes from the customer and confirm "Delete this customer's data now? This cannot be undone."
If you have not confirmed your password recently, the Confirm your password page opens with "Deleting a customer immediately cannot be undone. Enter your password to continue." Type your Password and select Confirm. Cancel takes you back.
Confirming the password deletes nothing. You return to the list with "Password confirmed. You can now delete customers immediately for the next 15 minutes." Start the request, or select Delete now, again. You then see "The customer's data is being deleted now."
The customer's account and personal data at your shop. Orders, invoices and amounts stay, without the customer's name, contact details or address.
