Move stock from one location to another at once, and see every past transfer.
A transfer takes stock out of one location and puts it into another immediately, for example to restock a dark store from the warehouse.
On Catalogue › Locations & stock, select Transfer stock. The button is on the Locations and Transfers tabs while you have more than one location and stock tracking is on.
From: where the stock is now.
To: where it goes.
Under Add products, search by name, barcode or ID and select each product. Only products that track stock can be added. For a product with variants, add its variants.
Each line shows the quantity At source. Enter the Quantity to move. The cross removes a line.
One transfer can move at most 200 products.
The stock moves straight away, and the transfer is recorded on the Transfers tab and in the stock history.
Each row shows the transfer number, Date, From, To, Products, Units in stock (the total quantity moved), By and Note. Details opens the stock history filtered to that transfer. Older loads earlier transfers.
With stock tracking off, the tab shows Stock tracking is off: "Your shop does not track stock, so no new transfer can be made. Transfers made before stay listed below, read-only." The Transfer stock button is hidden, and the form's address answers "Stock tracking is off for your shop. Turn it on in Settings to do this."
