Choose the map customers use to pin their delivery address, and connect your own Google keys if you want Google Maps.
The checkout map lets customers place a pin on their delivery address on your website.
| Option | What it means |
|---|---|
| Off (location popup) (default) | No map. The website keeps the simple location popup |
| OpenStreetMap (free) | A map with no key to set up |
| Google Maps (your own keys) | Google's map, with keys from your own Google Cloud account |
Choosing Google shows two more fields.
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Google Browser Key | Your Google Maps JavaScript API key. It is public, so restrict it to your website addresses |
| Google Server Key | Your Google Geocoding API key. It is used for address search and for filling the address from the pin. It is stored encrypted and never sent to browsers |
In Google Cloud:
After saving, the server key field shows that a key is saved, not the key. Leave it blank to keep it, paste a new value to replace it, or tick Remove.
| Field | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| 2. Map Centre | Where the map opens: latitude, longitude and zoom, for example 25.2048,55.2708,12. Blank uses your shop location | Blank |
| 3. Delivery Pin | Whether customers must place a pin for a delivery address: Off, Optional or Required. Off can be saved only with By Shipping Zones; by radius or by places, the pin prices the delivery and finds the area | Optional |
| 4. Address Search | Lets customers search for their address on the map | On |
| Fill Address From Pin | Fills the address fields from the pin the customer places | On |
| Search Countries | Countries the address search looks in. Empty means your shop country | Empty |
For Checkout Phone Countries, which sits in the same block, see Maps, location and banner settings.
