Tax and invoices on your store

How tax appears at checkout, how a business customer asks for a VAT invoice, and where the tax invoice QR code is shown.
Customers see tax as a note under the total. In Saudi Arabia, shops registered for ZATCA e-invoicing also get a business invoice option and a QR code on the order page.
When an order carries tax, the order summary shows one line under the total.

No note is shown when the tax amount is zero.
The service charge is always shown tax included. Where tax is added on top, its row says how much of it is tax. See The cart.
To change this: the Tax card in Shop › Features and Shop › Settings › Tax Settings. See Turn tax on with one rate and Tax on delivery and shop charges.
At a ZATCA shop with business invoices on, checkout has a section "Business purchase (VAT invoice)".
A customer who ticks "I need a tax invoice for my business" fills in:

The section tells the customer to enter the details exactly as registered with ZATCA. The order then gets a standard tax invoice in the company's name.
A signed-in customer can tick "Save these details for next time". On a later order they select "Use my saved business details".
Orders of a ZATCA shop show the invoice type and a QR code on the order page and in the customer account.

On an order of a shop with a GSTIN, the order page shows "Seller GSTIN" and the number. See GST for shops in India.
