Take a category out of your store, combine two categories, or clear out the ones you no longer need.
All of these start from a category card on Catalogue › Categories.
A category picked from the ready-made catalogue has a Catalogue badge and cannot be edited. Select Unlock to edit and confirm. You can then edit it, and it stops following the catalogue.
Search for it in the box.
Select Merge. The products and sub-categories of the first category move to the one you chose, and the first category is deleted. This cannot be undone.
A category can only be deleted when it has no products and no sub-categories. Otherwise the window explains what is in it:

Once it is empty, select Delete. This cannot be undone.
Select Tools › Delete empty categories.
The page counts the categories that have no products and asks you to confirm. If there are none, it answers "Every category has products. Nothing to delete."
