Edit what a section says and how it looks, hide it, reset it or delete it.
When you select a section or a block, its settings open in the panel at the far side of the editor. The fields come from the theme, so each section has its own.
With nothing selected the panel says Select a section: "Click a section in the sidebar or in the preview to edit its settings."

| Duplicate section | Copies it, with its settings and blocks. Greyed out when the page already has the maximum of that section |
| Reset to defaults | "Reset this section's settings to the theme defaults (blocks are kept)". A notice offers Undo |
| Delete section | Removes it. Not shown on a page's main section |
A block's panel has Hide block, Duplicate block and Delete block, plus an arrow back to its section.
Change a field and the draft saves by itself. The preview then reloads. There is no save button in the panel.

Some fields appear only when another setting calls for them.

| "Hidden — this section is not shown on the storefront." | The section is hidden. Select Show section |
| "This section has no settings." | Nothing to configure. It may still have blocks |
| "This theme has no “…” section. It is hidden on the storefront — delete it or switch back to a theme that provides it." | The section was kept from another theme. See Try another theme |
| "This section no longer exists." | Select another section |
| A red message under a field | The value is not accepted. The draft is not saved until it is fixed |
The top bar shows Not saved, and a banner under it lists each problem with its page, section and field. Select a line to jump to the field.
Common messages: "Required", "At most N characters", "Use a hex colour like #1A2B3C", "Must start with https://, http:// or /", "Minimum N", "Maximum N", "Choose one of the options".
