Let shoppers outside your delivery area leave their e-mail, then e-mail them once when you start delivering there.
The waitlist and its settings are at the bottom of Where customers want delivery. The owner and Shop Managers can change them.

Select Save (3). The page answers "Settings saved." Saving stores both switches and sends no e-mail.
The form takes sign-ups only while the switch is on, reports are in your package and your shop can send e-mails.
The shopper types an e-mail address and ticks a consent box. They then get an e-mail with a link to confirm. A signed-in customer using their own verified address is confirmed at once.
Until the link is used, the sign-up counts as "not confirmed yet" and is not in the list below. Unconfirmed sign-ups expire. Signing up is not a marketing opt-in: it allows this one e-mail only.
First change your delivery area so the place is covered. The button below only sends the e-mail.
In Customers waiting for delivery, tick each place you now deliver to (1). The table shows the Place, how many are Waiting and Since when. You never see the e-mail addresses.
Select We deliver there now: notify them (2) and confirm. The page answers with the number of customers who will be e-mailed.
