Who can use this
Shop owner
The TikTok channel keeps one catalogue in your TikTok Business Center filled with your products, for catalogue ads. It is not a TikTok shop: customers check out on your online store.
The country rule
The TikTok menu entry is hidden for a shop whose country is India, and for a shop that has no country of its own.
A shop without a country that opens the page by its address sees Set your shop country first. The Set the shop country button opens Settings, but the shop country is set by the platform: ask support to set it.
If a connected shop's country becomes India, the page shows "TikTok is not available in your shop's country" and "Your products are no longer sent to TikTok. Disconnect to remove them from the catalog and give back the access." Select Disconnect.
Connect
The channel is available when your platform has set up TikTok catalogs. If it has not, the page says "TikTok catalogs are not set up on this platform yet, so they cannot be connected. Contact support." and the connect button is greyed out.
Open the page
Open the Sales channels menu and select TikTok.
The TikTok setup checklist shows the steps.
Continue with TikTok
Select Continue with TikTok. On TikTok's screens, continue with the TikTok for Business account that manages your ads and allow access to your catalogues.
Choose your Business Center
Pick one under Choose your Business Center and select Use this Business Center. With only one, it is chosen for you.
Choose or create the catalogue
Under Choose the catalog, pick a catalogue and select Use this catalog, or select Create a catalog named ….
TikTok fixes a catalogue's country and currency. The catalogue must be in your shop's currency, otherwise you get: "That catalog is in …, your shop sells in …. Choose a catalog in …, or create one."
The Connected card then shows Business Center, Catalog, Access (Does not expire) and Last successful test.
Checklist, sync and problems
The TikTok setup rows follow the steps above, then Make your online store live, Send your products to TikTok and Syncing runs without errors. One row is only recommended: Give every product its brand. A product without a brand is sent with your shop name as the brand.
"TikTok could not use the image: it must be a JPG or PNG of at least 500 × 500 pixels."
"Switched off in TikTok: it is not used in ads."
If your shop currency changes
The catalogue row of the checklist reopens with: "The catalog is in …, your shop now sells in …: no product can be sent. Choose or create a catalog in …." Select Choose catalog and pick or create a catalogue in the new currency.
Disconnect
Disconnecting "stops sending products to TikTok, removes them from the catalog and removes the access. The catalog itself stays in your Business Center."
Select Disconnect and confirm "Disconnect TikTok?". Removal runs in the background; the page shows "Removed so far: … of … products." The end result is one of:
"TikTok disconnected, and your products were removed from the catalog."
"TikTok disconnected. Some of your products may stay in the catalog: remove them in the catalog manager."
If the page adds "To be sure, also remove this app's access in your TikTok business settings", do that in TikTok.
