Set the search title, description and share image of the home page and the collections list, or hide pages from search engines.
Page SEO sets "How this page appears in search results and when shared." It is an icon button beside the page picker in the editor's top bar.
| Page | What Page SEO offers |
|---|---|
| Home, Collections list | All four fields |
| An alternate template, such as "Product · landing" | One switch only |
| Product, Collection, Page, Search, Cart, 404 | No Page SEO button |
Products, categories and content pages take their search title and description from their own edit forms in the panel.
Choose Home or Collections list in the page picker, then select Page SEO.
| Field | What it does | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Title | "Shown in search results and browser tabs. Leave empty for the default." | 120 characters per language |
| Description | "The snippet under the title in search results." | 320 characters per language |
| Share image | "Shown when the page is shared (1200 × 630 works best)." Upload rules are on Images | |
| Hide from search engines | Asks search engines not to list this page |
Title and description have one input per website language.
Page SEO is part of the draft. It reaches your website when you publish.
The dialog says "Each product, collection or page keeps its own title and description." It has one switch: Hide pages using this template from search engines. Use it for a landing-page layout you do not want listed. A new alternate template does not copy the SEO of the page it was made from.
| Setting | Where | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| Search-engine title and description | Panel › Online Store › Preferences | The whole store, as the default. Saved straight away |
| Page SEO | The editor | One page. Part of the draft |
