Help CenterHelp Center / Point of sale · Concept
Why the till says it is not in your plan, why the menu entry is missing or opens Shifts, and what the common till messages mean.
The full message is "The point of sale is not included in your plan. Add the POS register add-on (Plan & billing) to use it." It appears on a page of its own, in place of the till.
The page is shown only when all of these are true:
What the page offers:
If the add-on leaves your plan while a till is in use, selling stops with the same sentence as a red message. Cash in / out, the X-report and Close shift keep working.
| What you see | Why |
|---|---|
| No Point of sale entry in the top menu | The add-on is not in your plan and your shop has no recorded shifts, or your shop's package does not include orders, or your role cannot use the till |
| Point of sale opens Shifts, not the till | The add-on is not in your plan, but your shop has recorded shifts |
| No Registers & settings tab | The tab is for the owner and Shop Managers |
| You land on the dashboard with "This is not included in your shop's package." | Your shop's package has no orders. Ask support |
| "Only the shop owner, managers and cashiers can use the point of sale." | Your role has no access. See Who can do what |
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| "This register is locked: your plan includes … POS registers…" | You have more registers than add-ons. Close this register's shift and use another, or buy another add-on |
| "This register is switched off." | The owner sets its status back to Active |
| "There is no open shift at this register. Open a shift first." | The shift was closed, perhaps by a manager. Select Change register and open a new shift |
| "Only the person who opened this shift, or a manager, can do this." | You are on a colleague's shift |
| What you see | Why |
|---|---|
| Complete sale is greyed out | The cart is empty, is still being priced, was refused with the red message at the top of the page, or a line shows "Only :stock here" |
| No Coupon code box | Coupons are not switched on for your shop. See Coupons |
| The discount fields are greyed out | Your discount limit is 0. See Till rules |
| No From the customer's wallet field | The wallet is off, or you are not the owner or a Shop Manager |
| "No connection. The sale was not lost: press Complete again to retry it." | See When the connection drops |
Each task page lists its own messages: registers, opening a shift, building a sale, payment, customers, discounts, returns, cash and receipts.
