Every field on the Referral Settings tab and what it changes for your customers.
Shop › Settings › Referral Settings switches the referral programme on and sets its reward and wording. Change the fields, then select Save Settings.
For what happens after you switch it on, read How the referral programme works.

A field you cannot change shows the badge Managed by platform. This happens to Enable Referral when your plan does not include the referral programme, which starts with the Growth plan. Open Shop › Features to see what your plan includes: the Referral programme card under Marketing & loyalty shows a plan badge that links to Plan & billing.
You can also switch the programme on and off from that card with Turn on and Turn off. It changes the same setting as Enable Referral.
