Upload many product photos at once, then attach them to products by file name.
The File manager item of the Actions menu opens Product Image Manager. Photos you upload here can be used by file name in the image column of a product CSV or of the Images by barcode tool.
Files must be JPG, JPEG or PNG, at most 10 MB each. Other files are skipped with a count of how many.
Your shop can hold up to 30,000 images. At the limit the page answers "Limit reached: maximum 30000 images allowed."
Name each photo so you can match it to a product, for example by barcode: 1234567890001.jpg. Then put the file names in a CSV:

A file name that is not in your image manager is not applied, so upload the photos before the file.

Select one photo to see it larger, with Download and Delete.
For a single product, it is quicker to drop the photo on the Main image box of the product page. Category pictures have their own uploader: see Import and export categories.
