Open the editor, publish your design, test an order, then open the store to customers.
Your online store is managed from Shop › Online Store. Its overview shows your address, the Store status card, what is published, and the required launch rows that are still open.
Select Customize. The theme editor opens with your theme and starting layout. Change sections, colours, images and text there.
In the editor, publish your design. The first time you publish, the website opens behind a password page, so only people you share the password with can see it. The Store status card shows the current password with a Copy button.
Open your store address, enter the password, and order something. Check that the order arrives under Orders and that the delivery charge and payment method are what you expect.
On the Store status card, select Remove the password and go live, and confirm. On the Launch step of setup the button is Go live. The password is removed and everyone can see the website.
The card says why under the button:
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Publish your store from Customize first." | Publish a design from the editor |
| "Before you can go live, finish: …" | Complete the launch rows it names. See Launch checklist |
| "Remove the demo data before going live." | Your shop holds a demo store. See Remove the demo data |
On platforms with plans, the top bar has a link to your website: Preview site before the first publish, which opens the draft in the editor, and Your site afterwards, which opens the store in a new tab.
