The panel hides menus, cards and fields for features you do not use, and what to do when a page will not open.
Your panel may show fewer menus, cards and fields than the screenshots in this help centre. That is on purpose: the panel shows an item only when the feature behind it is in use.
An optional item appears when one of these is true:
This applies to menu items, whole pages, form fields, dashboard tiles, report links and columns in imports and exports.

If nothing in a menu applies to your shop, the whole menu is hidden.
Opening some hidden pages from an old bookmark or a typed address takes you back to the dashboard with This feature is not switched on for your shop. You can turn it on in Settings. This happens for the locations and stock pages, stocktakes, the wastage report, back in stock, delivery collections and the pages that add, re-enable or message delivery guys. Other hidden pages, such as coupons, gift cards and shipping zones, still open by address.
