See every place your shop keeps stock or sends orders from, with its stock figures and actions.

Before you start

Shown when stock tracking is on, when your shop has more than one location, or when your plan allows another one. Every shop has one default location; more are included from the Scale plan. Turn on Stock tracking in Shop › Features. If you do not see it there, ask support.

Who can use this

Shop owner, Shop Manager, Shop Product Manager

A location is a store, dark store, warehouse or outlet. Each one has its own address, opening hours, stock, delivery areas and staff.

The Locations tab with Transfer stock, Add location, the Order routing card and a location card's figures and actions numbered

Buttons at the top

Transfer stock: shown with more than one location and stock tracking on. See Transfer stock.
Add location: owner only. See Add a location. At your plan's limit the button is locked, with the note "Your plan includes … location(s). Add more in Plan & billing."

Order routing

With more than one location, the Order routing card sits above the list. See Order routing.

A location card

Each card shows the name and the code, and these chips:

Chip	Meaning
Default	Stock updates and orders that name no location use this one
Active	The location takes orders and holds stock
Deactivated	Switched off; its history and settings are kept

Under the address and phone, with stock tracking on:

Figure	Meaning
Products in stock	How many products have stock here
Units in stock	The total quantity here
Low stock	Products at or below their alert quantity here

A staff member assigned to some locations sees "Stock is shown only for your own locations." on the others.

Actions on a card:

Action	Who	What it does
Stock history	Everyone with access	Opens the stock history for this location
Edit	Owner	Opens the location form
Areas	Owner	Chooses the areas it serves
Make default, Deactivate, Activate, Delete	Owner	See Deactivate, delete or change the default location

Who sees this page

Role	Access
Shop owner	Everything. The menu item appears when stock tracking is on, the shop has more than one location, or the plan allows another
Shop Manager, Shop Product Manager	View, transfer stock and work with requests, once the shop has a second location

Notes on the page

"Stock tracking is off for your shop, so quantities are not counted." Locations still keep their address, hours, areas and staff.
One location today: all your stock is at your default location. Add a second location to keep stock per location and choose which areas each serves.
