Change the delivery slot of an order

Move a scheduled order to another delivery day and time.

Before you start

The order has a delivery date or came from WhatsApp ordering, and is not delivered or cancelled.

When a customer asks for another time, or you cannot make the slot, move the order to a different slot from the order page.

Open the dialog
On the order page, select Schedule Time in Actions. The dialog Schedule Date/Time: opens.
Choose the day
In Delivery Schedule:, choose the delivery option or day.
Choose the time
If the option has time slots, Select Delivery Time: appears. Choose a slot.
Save
Select save. The page shows Delivery schedule updated successfully, and Scheduled on the order shows the new day and time.

What changes

The customer gets a push notification with the new delivery time.
The delivery charge is worked out again for the new slot. If the customer has already paid, the charge is never raised.
If the list offers express delivery and you choose it, the delivery date is cleared and the order is marked Express Delivery.

The button appears only on orders that already have a delivery date, and on WhatsApp orders. Any other order has no Schedule Time button.
The list offers the days and slots of your default slot group. It is empty when order scheduling is off. To change the slots themselves, use Delivery › Delivery Slot Groups.
On shops with several locations, the new slot must be inside the opening hours of the order's fulfilment location.
