All three actions are links on a location card on Catalogue › Locations & stock. Only the owner sees them.
Change the default location
The default location takes orders that have no location, and stock updates that name no location, such as a CSV with a plain stock_quantity column.
On an active location that is not the default, select Make default and confirm. Only an active location can be the default.
Deactivate a location
Select Deactivate and confirm. The location stops taking orders. Its orders, stock history and settings are kept, and Activate brings it back.
A location must be empty and idle first. Otherwise the page lists what is in the way under That could not be done: Each message starts with the number of products, transfers or orders concerned.

What to do
It is the default location. Make another location the default first.
Change the default
Products still have stock here. Transfer them to another location first.
Select Transfer all its stock under the message. It opens a transfer with everything at this location. The button is shown while stock tracking is on
Products are below zero here (sold more than was in stock). Correct their quantities to 0 on the product page first.
Open each product and set this location's quantity to 0
Transfers are in transit to or from this location. Receive or cancel them first.
Open orders are fulfilled from this location. Deliver or cancel them first.
Complete the orders, or move them to another location from the order page
Customers are paying for orders from this location right now. Try again in a few minutes.
Wait and retry
Delete a location
Select Delete and confirm "Delete this location? Its stock history is kept. This cannot be undone." The default location has no Delete link.
The same checks apply as for deactivating, so empty the location first.
Staff of a closed location
A team member assigned only to deactivated locations receives no new orders. Staff and riders marks them with a warning so you can give them an active location.
Going back to one location
When only one active location is left, the Requests, Replenishment and Coverage map tabs and the location switcher disappear, and every order goes to that location.
