Switch your draft to a different theme with your own content carried over, and undo it if you change your mind.
The editor's Themes tab holds the Theme library: "Try another theme with your own products, menus and banners. Your live store doesn't change until you publish."
Each theme has a card with a small picture of the selected style, its version (for example "v1.5.0"), a description, its heading and body fonts and its number of sections. The theme your draft uses is marked Current.
A theme with more than one style lists them as chips. The one suggested for your shop carries a small sparkle and is selected to begin with. On the current theme, Customize theme settings opens the Theme tab.
On the theme's card, select a style chip.
Select the button "Try" followed by the theme's name. A dialog explains what will happen:
Select the "Try" button in the dialog. The editor moves to Home. A notice reads "Draft switched to …." and tells you how many sections kept your content. The preview updates once the draft is saved.
Go through each page in the page picker and check it.
The publish dialog lists the change as "Switch theme: … → …". See Publish.
| Kept from your draft | Taken from the new theme's style |
|---|---|
| Menus | Colours, fonts and the look of cards and buttons |
| Text, links, pictures, chosen categories and products of sections the new theme has a match for | Layout choices such as columns and colour schemes |
| Sections both themes share, such as FAQ and rich text | The header and footer design |
| Your logo, tab icon and share image, and a few behaviour settings such as the cart type | The style's own pictures, where you had none of your own |
Sections with no match are named in the notice: "Not available in …: …." Their content is not shown in the new theme.
A section left over from another theme shows in its settings panel as "This theme has no “…” section. It is hidden on the storefront — delete it or switch back to a theme that provides it."
Themes can also be applied from the panel. See Choose a theme and a ready-made layout, and the theme guides: Essence, Souq, Pronto, Halo, Bazar.
