Add a Cashier and see what the owner, a Shop Manager, a Shop Sales Manager and a Cashier may each do at the point of sale.
Four roles can use the point of sale: the shop owner, Shop Manager, Shop Sales Manager and Cashier. Every other role is refused with "Only the shop owner, managers and cashiers can use the point of sale."
The team form names the roles Manager, Sales Manager and Cashier. Team cards show the first two as Shop Manager and Shop Sales Manager.
Open Shop › Managers and select Add. Fill in the name, phone, e-mail and password. See Add a team member.
Pick Cashier under Roles. Its card reads "Sells at the till."
Select Add team member and give the cashier their e-mail and password.
A Cashier counts as one staff account of your plan. After signing in, a Cashier lands on the point of sale and can open nothing else. Any other page answers "You only have permission to use the point of sale." See Limited roles and Staff roles.
The owner works at every location. A team member who is assigned to locations sees only the registers, shifts and sales of those locations. A register elsewhere answers "This register is at a location you are not assigned to."
At the till, a Shop Sales Manager has the same rights as a Cashier. The difference is outside the till: a Shop Sales Manager keeps their other menus.

The three limits are set by the owner. See Till rules.
Someone who holds more than one of these roles gets the widest one at the till: owner first, then Shop Manager, then Cashier or Shop Sales Manager.
The till has no code or PIN that lifts a cashier's limits for one action. For a larger discount, a refund the cashier may not give, a wallet payment or a larger cash-out, the owner or a Shop Manager signs in with their own login and does it.
