Create many single-use codes for one rule and export them as a CSV file.

Bulk codes give each customer a code of their own that works once. Use them for vouchers, partner campaigns or apology codes. Each code belongs to one discount rule and gives that rule's offer.

Create the rule
Create a discount rule with the offer you want and save it. Leave Code empty.
Open Bulk codes
1. On the Discount rules list, select Bulk codes on the rule's row. A panel opens under the row.
Generate
1. Enter how many codes you need after Generate. The note under the form states the most you can create in one request.
2. Optionally enter a Prefix (optional): up to 20 letters and digits. Codes then look like PREFIX-XXXXXXXX.
3. Select Generate codes.
The list confirms how many were created. Run it again to add more codes to the same rule.
Export
1. Open Bulk codes again and select Export CSV.
The file has four columns: code, status, order_id and redeemed_at. Hand out the codes whose status is available.

How a bulk code behaves

The customer types it in the coupon field at checkout. Any case works.
It works once. A second attempt gets "This code has already been used."
If the order that used it is cancelled, the code becomes available again.
The rule's own conditions still apply: products, customers, schedule, Uses in total, Uses per customer and Budget.
The rule must be Active and inside its dates. Otherwise the customer sees "Coupon is invalid or expired."
Bulk codes are never shown in the online store.

The codes avoid look-alike characters such as 0 and O, or 1, I and L.

Track them

The Code column of the list shows "N bulk codes (M redeemed)". The export shows which order used each code. The rule's performance page lists the orders with the code they used.
