Pick your register, declare the cash in the drawer and start selling.
A shift is one register's cash drawer from its opening cash to the cash counted at close. A register sells only while it has an open shift, and it has one open shift at a time.
Select Point of sale in the top menu. The Till tab shows Choose a register with one card per register.
The owner sees every active register. Staff assigned to locations see only the registers of those locations.
Count the drawer. If the amount is different, type what is really there. A field then appears: Why is it not the cash counted at the last close? You must give a reason.
An opening amount that differs from the last count is written to the activity log with your reason.
A register with an open shift shows "Shift open since" and the time, with Use this register. Select it to sell on that shift.
Anyone who works at that location can sell on an open shift. Its X-report, cash in / out and closing are for the person who opened it, the owner or a Shop Manager.
