After you connect a domain, the Domains page shows a table of records under it. Create them at the company you bought the domain from. Always copy the values from your own table; the examples below only show the shape.
The table has Type, Name, Value and a Copy button per row. Under it: "Add these at the company you bought the domain from. Keep the TXT record until the domain is connected."

What it does
TXT
_msverify. followed by your domain, for example _msverify.www.shop.com
A code starting ms-verify-
Proves the domain is yours. The store looks for this first
The record that points the domain at your store
Which one you get depends on the domain you typed.
A root domain such as shop.com, where the platform publishes addresses
A, one row per address. AAAA for an IPv6 address
The domain
An IP address
A root domain, where the platform publishes no addresses
ALIAS / ANAME
The domain
The platform's target host
A root domain here means a name with one dot, such as shop.com. A name with two dots is treated as a subdomain, so a root domain such as shop.com.sa or shop.co.uk is shown a CNAME. If your provider does not accept a CNAME on the root domain, connect www.shop.com.sa instead or contact support.
Entering them at your provider
Some providers want only the part of the name before your domain. For _msverify.www.shop.com on the domain shop.com, that is _msverify.www. For the root domain itself they often use @.
If the name already has a record that points somewhere else, replace it with the one from the table.
When the table disappears
The table is shown while the domain is being connected. Once the chip reads Connected, the table is hidden.
The TXT record can be deleted after that. Keep the pointing record for as long as you use the domain: the store re-checks connected domains every hour and e-mails the shop owner if the record goes missing. See Domain statuses.
