Put customers into groups you choose, then filter by a group or send it an offer.
A group is a list of customers you pick yourself, for example VIP customers or wholesale buyers. Use it to filter the customer list or to send a push notification to only those people.
On Customers › Customers, select Groups at the top.
Select New group. With no groups yet, the button reads Create your first group.
Type a Group name. Only you see this name. Select Create group.
On the customers list, select the groups icon on the customer's card. A window titled Groups for and the customer's name opens.
Tick each group the customer belongs to. Each tick is saved at once. Untick to remove.
Select Done. Manage groups in the same window opens the groups page.
Each group card shows how many customers are in it and these actions:
| Action | Does |
|---|---|
| Members | Opens the customers list filtered to this group |
| Send offer | Opens a new push notification with this group as the audience. Shown when the group has members |
| Pencil | Renames the group. Renaming keeps everyone in it |
| Bin | Deletes the group after you confirm. The customers stay as customers |
You can also choose a group in the filter on the customers list, under Customer Groups.
A group saved from the Customer lifecycle report shows "Managed by Customer lifecycle; manual changes are replaced on refresh." Its members are kept up to date automatically, so do not edit them by hand.
