Who can use this

Shop owner, Shop Manager

The till rules apply to every register of your shop. Only the shop owner can change them. A Shop Manager sees them greyed out, with no Save button.

Open Point of sale › Registers & settings and scroll to Till rules.

Select Save. The page answers "Settings saved."

What 0 means

Discount at 0: cashiers cannot give discounts. The discount fields on their till are greyed out.
Cash-out at 0: every cash-out is done by the owner or a Shop Manager, signed in themselves.

The owner and Shop Managers are never limited by rules 2, 4 and 5.

Things that do not change with the rules

Every manual discount needs a reason and is written to the activity log.
Cash can never be taken out below what the drawer should hold.
Stock that is on hold for other orders does not count as available when rule 1 is off.

Stock and rule 1

With rule 1 off, the till warns "Only :stock here" on a cart line and greys out Complete sale. This applies only to products with stock tracking on. With rule 1 on, the warning does not appear.
