How store setup works

Seven short steps with a live preview. Stop any time; the setup resumes where you left off.

Who can use this

Store setup asks seven questions and turns the answers into working settings: currency and tax, delivery, payment methods, your website and your first products.

What is on every step

The step list. Finished steps get a green tick. Select any finished step to go back to it.

On the right, the Your store card fills in as you go: the theme preview, your web address, and one summary line per finished step.

While a demo store is on offer, a line above the step says "Want to look around first?" with Explore a demo store. Select × to hide it. See Choose how to start.

The panel menus are hidden while you are in setup.

Steps you can skip show Skip for now beside Continue, with one sentence on what skipping means:

Step	If you skip it
Getting paid	Customers pay cash on delivery until you connect a gateway. Where cash on delivery is not available to your shop, customers cannot pay yet
Your store	Your store keeps its current name and no website is created until you come back
First products	Your store opens empty; add products from the Catalogue menu at any time

Leaving and coming back

Exit to dashboard, in the top bar of every step, leaves setup without losing anything.
To return, use the button on the dashboard card or the Setup chip in the top bar. Setup opens at the first unfinished step.
