The floating WhatsApp button, the Order on WhatsApp button on product pages, and the social icons in your footer.
Your store can send customers to a WhatsApp chat with you in two ways, and link to your social profiles from the footer.
On the Essence and Bazar themes, a round WhatsApp button stays in the corner of the page. It opens a chat with your number, starting with "Hello! I have a question."
It is left out of the cart, checkout and order pages, where it would cover the main buttons.
On a product page, an "Order on WhatsApp" button sits with the buy buttons. It opens a chat with a message already written: the product name, the chosen variant, the quantity and a link to the product.
The customer sends the message and you continue the sale in the chat. No order is created in your panel by this button.
It is not shown on gift card products.
Both buttons need all of these:
| Requirement | Where |
|---|---|
| A valid WhatsApp number | Preferences: social links and WhatsApp. Type it with the country code |
| The WhatsApp store feature on | Turn on WhatsApp store in Shop › Features. It needs a plan that includes it. If you do not see it there, ask support. See Turn features on |
| The theme setting on | Show floating WhatsApp button or Show "Order on WhatsApp" on product pages (Show "Order on WhatsApp" on Halo). See Theme settings: brand and store features |
If one is missing, the button is not shown. There is no message to the customer. For the setup steps, see WhatsApp button on your store.
Some themes also show a WhatsApp link in the footer. It needs only the number.
Cards in the store locator section can show their own "WhatsApp" button. See Location prompt, stores and waitlist.
The footer shows an icon for each social profile you saved: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest and a WhatsApp channel.
To change this: Preferences: social links and WhatsApp. The older Social Media Settings reference covers the settings tab for the same links.
A tap on "Order on WhatsApp" is sent to Google Analytics as a lead and to Meta and TikTok as a contact. See Analytics events.
