Use a domain you already own as the address of your website, step by step.
Every store has a free address. You can add a domain you own, such as shop.com or www.shop.com, and make it the main one. You buy the domain elsewhere; the panel does not sell domains.
Open Shop › Online Store › Domains.
The panel answers "Add the records below at your domain provider. We check every few minutes and switch the domain on by itself."
The domain appears in the list with a table of Type, Name and Value. There is a TXT record, plus the record or records that point the domain at your store. Select Copy beside a value to copy it. See DNS records to add for what each one means.
Sign in at the company you bought the domain from and open its DNS settings. Create each record with the same type, name and value as in the table. Every provider's screen is different; look for "DNS", "DNS records" or "Zone".
Keep the TXT record until the domain is connected.
The store checks the records by itself for 72 hours after you connect the domain. The page says DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to spread.
Select Check now to check at once.
When the chip turns to Connected, the domain serves your store. The security certificate is arranged for you. See Domain statuses.
A connected domain is an extra address at first. Select Make main to send every visitor to it. See Main address and removing a domain.
