Who can use this

Shop owner

Your website can ask shoppers where they are. It then says whether you deliver there and shows what is in stock near them.

The How shoppers set their location block with the methods list, Ask For Location, Start On and Offer Saved Addresses numbered

When the prompt appears

Two things must be true.

You opted in: you ticked at least one method, chose an Ask For Location option other than the first, or switched on Only accept orders inside my delivery area.
You have coverage: an active delivery zone, an active shipping zone, or a delivery radius around your shop's pin.

The line under the methods tells you the state: "Your website offers now:" followed by the methods, or "Not shown yet:" with the reason.

Set it up

Choose the methods

Under Location Methods, tick the ways shoppers can give their location. Use the arrows to change the order they are offered in.

Method	Available
Postcode	Only with By Shipping Zones in a country with postcodes
Choose an area	Lists your active delivery areas (By Places) or shipping zones
Pin on a map	Only while checkout maps are on
Use my location	Always

A method your shop cannot use is left out automatically. Tick none to use your country's defaults.

Choose when to ask

Ask For Location:

Option	Behaviour
Only when the shopper opens it (default)	The shopper opens the location bar themselves
Once, on the first visit	Asked one time
On every visit until set	Asked until the shopper sets a location

Choose the starting tab
1. Start On: Delivery or Pickup. Pickup applies only while self pickup is on.
Offer saved addresses
1. Offer Saved Addresses gives signed-in customers their saved addresses as one-tap choices. It is on by default.
Save
Select Save Settings.

Things to know

On every visit until set is relaxed to the first option when it would lock pickup shoppers out. That happens when self pickup is on, your delivery area is enforced, and there are no pickup stores to choose instead.
With Map Provider set to Off (location popup), the map method is not offered. See Checkout maps.
Places shoppers asked about that you do not deliver to are listed under Reports › Where customers want delivery.
