Ways to fill your catalogue, a starter spreadsheet for your store type, and two optional questions about stock and cost.
Pick whichever way of adding products is fastest for you. The cards only open other screens; Continue saves your answers to the two optional questions. You can come back to this step.
| Way | Button | Best when |
|---|---|---|
| Import a spreadsheet | Import CSV | You already have a product list |
| Pick from the catalogue | Open the catalogue | You sell common items and want ready-made products and categories |
| Add a few by hand | Add a product | You have a small range |
| Start with demo products | Explore a demo store | You want to look around a sample store first. Shown only while a demo is on offer. See Try the demo store |
Put your own products in the rows. Set is_active to 1 on each product you want to sell.
Select Import CSV and upload the file. See Import products from CSV.
When you come back to this tab, the line "Right now your store has N products in N categories" updates by itself. Refresh does the same by hand. Demo products and categories are not counted.
Two Yes / No questions about the stock and cost screens your panel shows. Leave them unanswered to change nothing.
| Question | Yes shows |
|---|---|
| Do you track stock? | Stock fields, stock reports and low-stock alerts |
| Do you track cost and margin? | A cost price on products, and the gross margin and stock value reports |
An answer does not replace a value that is already set. Your store type in Step 2 may already have set stock tracking, so check Stock tracking on Turn features on and switch it there. You can change cost and margin tracking there too.
