Refund settings

Choose which refund methods your staff may use on returns, and whether small problem reports are refunded at once.

Before you start

The Returns & Exchanges tab appears only when returns are switched on for your shop. Turn on Returns & exchanges in Shop › Features. If you do not see it there, ask support.

Shop owner

The refund choices offered on a return come from the Returns & Exchanges tab under Shop › Settings. This page covers the fields on that tab that deal with money.

Refund methods

Refund Methods decides how you can give money back on a return.

Choice	Staff may refund to
Wallet, original payment and manual	All three
Wallet and manual	The wallet, or by hand
Wallet and original payment	The wallet, or the original payment
Original payment and manual	The original payment, or by hand
Wallet only	The wallet
Manual only (bank transfer / cash)	By hand, recorded on the return

A method you allow here is still offered only when the order supports it:

the wallet needs Enable Wallet on;
the original payment works only for payment methods that refund automatically, which today are Tabby and Tamara;
manual is always possible.

What is refunded

Refund Delivery Charge sets whether the delivery charge is part of a refund.

Return Shipping Fee and Return Shipping Fee Amount set a fee taken off the refund.

Instant refunds

Instant Refunds refunds small problem reports at once, without waiting for staff.

Instant Refund Limit (amount)	The largest amount refunded instantly
Instant Refund To	Customer wallet or Original payment method
Instant Refunds per Customer (30 days)	How many instant refunds one customer may get in 30 days

Select Save Settings when you are done.
