Set reward points per category and product

Give a whole category a points percentage, then override it on single products with a fixed or percentage reward.

Reward points have no shop-wide rate. You decide how generous each category is, and you can make single products earn more, less or nothing. For the rules behind the numbers, read How reward points work.

Set a percentage for a category

The Main category settings card on the category form, with the Reward points field numbered

Open a main category
Open the Catalogue menu, select Categories, then add or edit a main category. See Add or edit a category.
Enter the percentage
1. In Main category settings, fill in Reward points. It is a percentage from 0 to 100: the share of the price customers earn back as points.
Save the category
Save the form. Products in this category that are set to Category now earn that percentage on orders delivered from now on.

The field is in Main category settings, which the form shows for main categories only. Changing a main category into a sub-category clears its reward points.

The percentage is read from the category in the product's own Category field. Keep a main category there, and use the sub-categories field for the rest.

Override it on one product

Open the product
Open the Catalogue menu, select Products and open the product. Scroll to Rewards & commission.

Choose how it earns

Set Reward points:

Option	Result
Category	Follows the percentage of the product's category. This is what a new product starts with
Fixed	A set number of points for each unit bought
Percentage	The product's own percentage of what the customer paid
No Reward	The product never earns points

Enter the value
1. For Fixed and Percentage, a Reward point field appears. Enter the number of points, or the percentage without the % sign.
Save
Select Save changes.

Which setting wins

The product decides. Its category is used only when the product says Category.

Two more rules sit on top:

A Bonus reward points discount rule multiplies the points of the products it covers.
Percentages are worked out on what the customer paid for the line after discounts. Fixed points are per unit, but a line the customer paid nothing for earns none.

Changes apply to orders delivered after you save. Points already earned do not change.
