Choose the invoice layout, set the number prefix, and add the company details and tax number printed on every invoice.
The Invoice Settings block at the bottom of the Tax Settings tab controls how invoices look and how they are numbered.
| Template | Result |
|---|---|
| Basic | A simple invoice. With one rate it prints the tax name, rate, tax amount and total before tax. With tax categories it prints no tax breakdown |
| Advanced | A detailed invoice with an HSN column and the amount before tax on each line |
| Thermal Printer | Sends the invoice to the printer set in Thermal Printer Settings |
KOT Template does the same for kitchen order tickets, with Basic or Thermal Printer.
Select Save Settings.
The prefix can contain these variables. They are filled with your shop's date when the order is accepted.
| Variable | Becomes |
|---|---|
{Y} | Four-digit year |
{y} | Two-digit year |
{M} | Short month name |
{m} | Two-digit month |
{d} | Two-digit day |
A prefix with a date variable starts a new series whenever the date part changes. With {Y}, numbering starts again at 1 each year.
The field is labelled TRN# for every country. Enter the number your country uses, for example a TRN, a VAT number or a GSTIN. The launch checklist names it for your country, for example "GSTIN for invoices".
For shops in India, a GSTIN entered here also sets your GST state. See GST for shops in India.
Saudi shops using ZATCA enter their VAT number on the ZATCA page as well. See Switch ZATCA on.
When returns are on for your shop, Credit Note Prefix appears below Invoice Prefix. It takes the same variables. See Credit notes.
