Scan or search products, set quantities, including weighed items, and read the running total.
The selling screen has the product fields and the cart on one side, and the customer, discounts, totals and payment on the other. Sale in the top bar brings you back here from a return.
The cursor starts in Scan a barcode. Scan the product, or type the barcode and press Enter. The barcode must match exactly.
Type at least two characters in Search products by name or barcode. The list shows up to 20 products whose name contains your text or whose barcode starts with it.
Each result shows the price. Products with stock tracking also show the stock at this register's location. Select a result to add it.
A product with variants is listed by variant, as "Product – Variant". Barcodes are set on the product form. See Units and codes.
Gift card products cannot be sold here: "Gift cards are sold in your online store only."
Each line has Product, Quantity, Price, Discount, Total and Remove.
The till prices the cart on the server after every change, with the same tax and offer rules as your online checkout. Price is your selling price, including a running offer price.
The cart and the customer are kept in this browser for each register, so a page reload does not lose them. The till holds one cart per register.
A product marked as sold loose by weight or measure accepts a quantity with up to two decimals, for example 0.61. Type what the scale shows. The step and minimum you set for online orders are not applied at the till.
Every other product is sold in whole units. The till rounds a fraction you type to the nearest whole number.
With stock tracking on, a line that asks for more than this location has shows "Only :stock here" in red, and Complete sale is greyed out. Lower the quantity, or ask the owner about the overselling rule in Till rules.
The totals card updates as you go:
