How the panel tells you about new orders on every page, and how to silence the sound.
While a panel page is open, it keeps checking for new orders. You do not need to refresh.
With Enable Global Order Notifications on (Shop › Settings › General Settings), a pop-up opens on whichever page you are on when an order arrives, and a sound plays in a loop.
An order whose changes the customer approved comes back as new, tagged Modification confirmed.
The New orders panel fills in by itself and plays the same sound. Use the speaker button to stop the sound for the current alert.
Sound On / Sound Off switches the alert sound off for this browser until you switch it back. It also silences the pop-up on other pages. The choice is stored in the browser, so set it on each device.
The list never jumps while you work. Instead, a green bar appears at the top, for example "2 new orders". Select Show them to reload the list. On a filtered view the bar reads View orders and opens the unfiltered list.
