Take a percentage or an amount off the whole order, automatically or with a code.
Order discount takes a percentage or an amount off the whole order, or off the products you choose. It is the closest rule to a coupon, with the extra conditions a rule offers.
| Field | Rule |
|---|---|
| Discount kind | Percentage or Fixed amount |
| Value | The percentage (at most 100) or the amount |
| Maximum discount | Optional cap for a percentage. The order never gets more than this |
| A fixed amount off each unit (not once per order) | For a fixed amount only. Ticked: the amount is multiplied by the number of units covered |
10% off orders of 200 or more, capped at 50: set Percentage, Value 10, Maximum discount 50, and Minimum order value 200 in card 4. A customer with 150 in the cart sees "Add 50.00 more to get 10% off".
| Coupon | Order discount | |
|---|---|---|
| Needs a code | Always | Optional |
| Works with classic coupons mode | Yes | No, needs the discount engine |

Every offer type shares the same optional cards: products and exclusions, customers, channels and locations, schedule, code, limits and budget and priority and combining.
